I love data. Pure, clean, often times useless data. There is something about it that gets me all giddy, giddy like a mathletic school child.
Needless to say I had more fun than I should with the inflight tracker provided (free) from Southwest Airlines. I am sure other airlines offer this service, but it's a bonus that the bus with wings does so, for free.
This frees me from attempting pointless calculations on how fast we are traveling, how far we have traveled, and looking at the map on the napkin and guessing where we are in proximity to famous landmarks.
